No one can predict the time and place of a mishap, so having access to a first aid kit can make the world of difference in the case of a minor emergency. It is essential to have a first aid kit around to reduce or diminish a patient's risk of infection. While you can customize your own kit eg. businesses, corporations, offices, and home kits, should be purchased to accomodate the number of people who potentially will use the kit. Deal with minor injuries in a quick manner especially if infants, children, senior citizens and people with special needs are involved.
Abdominal Pads: Provide protection and padding for major trauma wounds. Maximum absorbency, suitable for burns-it can be folded to act as compression bandages.
Absorbent Gauze:clean a wound or use it to apply first-aid or antiseptic cream.
Adhesive Bandages: Protect minor scrapes and cuts after they have been cleaned and medicated.
Adhesive Tape: Secure wound dressings or give additional protection over bandages.
Alcohol Prep Pads:
Use before medical applications such as injections,wound cleaning, and it may be used as fire tinder.
Antiseptic Soap or Pads: For cleaning skin or wounds.
Bandage Compresses: Apply pressure to a large wound or scrape that is bleeding. Place the compress over the wound and apply pressure to reduce bleeding.
